New Engen has been named as a winner in the Advertising category of Inc.’s 2022 Best in Business list – their third annual celebration of companies making the biggest impact on their communities, their industries, the environment, or society as a whole.
When it comes to cultivating a spirit of giving back, we have an “All In” approach. Our DE&I committee works hard to lead efforts employees are passionate about. In the past 12 months, we’ve donated over $150,000 to organizations that support women’s rights to choose, marginalized communities, and reducing gun violence.
"They have a lot of flexibility and autonomy in directing what the voluntary efforts look like," says founder and CEO Justin Hayashi. "We want to tap into the true core and desires of the employees and what they want, versus a top-down approach."
We are showing them it’s not just about generating business and revenue, it’s about so much more — our communities and our people. All it takes is one person to make a change, and we hope that the example we’ve set inspires others to do the same.
"We're not oblivious to the fact that we are a company and that we have to generate revenue," [Justin] says. "However, that doesn't excuse us from doing nothing."
