The Opportunity:

New Engen is seeking an upbeat individual to join our Client Strategy Team which acts as a hub between our Media, Creative and Sales & Marketing teams. CST’s role is to coordinate and curate services, strategies, and value props into compelling sales and marketing stories that lead to new prospects and new revenue. This includes communicating complex strategies and insights into presentations that are digestible for decision makers and influencers within prospects’ organizations.

How you’ll make a difference

Sales Strategy. The Client Strategy Team’s primary role is to engage alongside the Sales leads on new business development. This is a Sales & Marketing focused role and the Client Strategy Associate will have the ability to directly impact New Engen growth by adding new revenue. Responsibilities include…

  • Qualifying leads - works to understand previous and future investment in paid digital marketing channels, approximates staffing needs, and channel growth opportunities.
  • Participating in discovery calls - Works alongside the Sales team to ask strategic and tactical questions about prospective client’s marketing programs with a goal of uncovering the prospects needs and desires. This process includes, but is not limited to, learning about the prospects’ motivations, business objectives, vendor assessment process, internal and external channels and current strategy.
  • Solution proposal & presentation – Taking what we’ve learned during qualification and discovery and translating that into a compelling and tailored story for the prospect. CST members take center stage demonstrating New Engen’s expertise and marketing thought leadership and strategy.
  • Supporting the final stages of the selling process – Partner with Sales to push leads across the finish line with whatever follow-ups a client may ask for. The Client Strategy Associate will be responsible for any strategic or tactical marketing follow ups, such as projections, crafting content and managing through objections, developing implementation timelines and more.

Agency Marketing & Content. Your secondary role on the Client Strategy team is to translate New Engen’s strategy and expertise into broader POV’s and narratives. This includes developing content for our blog, industry publications, social media and email, in order to support engagement with existing customers and prospects from the top to the bottom of our funnel.

Media Services Collaboration. For the high value opportunities that require additional strategy support, the Client Strategy Associate will collaborate with Media Services on providing the highest quality presentations & strategy materials for our active partners. This type of support is based on specific business needs and is reserved for our most valuable clients.

About you:

  • Experience working in Sales and Marketing organizations or strong familiarity with Sales and Marketing functions within B2B organizations
  • Ability & desire to thrive within the pace and pressure of a Sales organization
  • Excellent communication abilities (especially ability to translate complex strategies and tactics to sr. level marketers)
  • Customer-centric mentality - ability to understand and diagnose customer experience
  • Proven digital marketing experience with deep strategic and technical expertise on two digital channels (SEM, Shopping, Display, Paid Social, OTT, etc.) or more; ability to learn the others
  • Has strong PowerPoint skills and is able to build presentations efficiently and effectively
  • Outstanding at quick Excel analysis to rapidly find key insights during pitch prep and follow up
  • Ability to travel up to 40% during peak lead periods (once Covid-19 measures are no longer in effect and always with safety as a first consideration)
