The Opportunity:

The Resource Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing the allocations of our most valuable resource: OUR PEOPLE! In order to do this successfully, the individual in this role will act as the liaison between all Agency functions (Sales, Integrated Marketing Services, Operations, and People Team) to create the right teams, with the right skills, to meet our individual client’s needs.

How you’ll make a difference

  • Develop a lean and simplified resourcing process ensuring speed and efficiency in deployment of staff for new business
  • Provide guidance on capacity gaps/needs while ensuring optimal utilization of available staff
  • Monitor utilization statistics and develop appropriate analytics
  • Liaise with team leads to identify causes of over/under utilization and propose solutions
  • Detailed understanding of current and future demand (based on sales pipeline) by function
  • Develop hiring forecasting and budgetary tools to ensure optimized utilization of resources and predictive analysis to ensure the Agency stays ahead of Agency needs
  • Work with client account leads to ensure demand is up to date and fit for purpose
  • Maintain and update resourcing SOPs and ensure compliance to systems and processes
  • Annual stakeholder survey to ensure satisfaction and propose changes to process as required
  • Co-ordinate with client account leads to suggest assignments designed to optimize career development and employee engagement will balancing overall business needs and objectives
  • Provide weekly/month metrics to team, highlighting key issues
  • Resource planning, sourcing and utilization management and make staffing recommendations in concert with Operations and discipline leads.
  • Propose staffing options to client assignment needs that align with skills, professional goals, and/or staffing preferences
  • Advise delivery team on the best way to engage in the resource management processes, and recommend improvements for efficiency
  • Maintain a bench of freelancers and external staffing augmentation partners to help manage demand peaks and ad-hoc expert input
  • Act as lead for identification and staffing strategies for potential client opportunities in collaboration with Sales team

  • 3+ years of general business experience
  • Prior experience with consulting services delivery in a professional services environment would be beneficial
  • Prior experience in a Marketing Agency very beneficial
  • Proven ability to maintain high ethical standards, confidentiality and professionalism in dealing with sensitive issues
  • Proven ability to wear multiple hats and flex with business needs, in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience partnering, building trust, and strong working relationships with employees at all levels, including executive leaders
  • Creativity and resourcefulness; ability to solve complex problems independently
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment preferred
